About Me

​

I am much more than just a UX/UI fan/geek.

 

I spend a lot of time with a fabulous young adult, my son Evan (age 22) who is working towards his own career in information technology. Helping him launch into the world has been one of my most challenging, yet rewarding jobs ever.

I ADORE live music and travel to see bands and friends whenever I can. Ask me about what concert I am seeing next, there's always a show on my calendar! I am taking bass lessons, and you can find me at band rehearsals a couple nights a week.

I am a certified scuba diver. My favorite dive location is Cozumel. My dream is to scuba dive with whale sharks.

​

For 20 years, I had a night job as a childbirth and postpartum doula. While those days are now over, I was honored to have assisted with over 120 births, (all human with the exception of one equine and several hundred baby sea turtles!) I have helped over 300 families welcome their babies into their families and homes. I miss it sometimes, but being on call is hard work. I did my best to try to make even having a baby a more pleasant experience!

Organizing team activities has always been one of my favorite hobbies! I once convinced my coworkers to throw my boss an in-office "Alaskan Cruise Party" because she had to cancel her trip at the last minute for a family emergency. There may or may not be pictures of me dressed as an Orca. I may also have talked these same coworkers into dressing up as the complete cast of The Wizard of Oz for Halloween.

Most of all, I love meeting new people and learning how I can help to make their lives better.
